Dorothy Delay (1917–2002)
was a violin instructor at the
Juilliard School. She also taught at
Sarah Lawrence College. Her former students include a
large number of distinguished performers and teachers at
major music schools all around the world, including
Itzhak Perlman,
Midori Goto,
Sarah Chang,
Cho-Liang Lin,
Nadja Solerno-Sonnenberg,
Nigel Kennedy,
Mark Kaplan,
Shlomo Mintz and
William Fitzpatrick.
