Satie was dismissed from the Paris Conservatoire. Satie became composer to the Rosicrucian society, and later even formed his own independent religion. Satie variously formed and broke connections with Debussy, Ravel, Milhaud, and the rest of 'Le Six'.

As a six year old, Mozart met Schobert. Mozart reportedly modeled his early violin sonatas after Schobert's example. Like Schobert, Mozart designated his works as keyboard sonatas which can be played with violin accompaniment. Unlike the model of the earlier Italian violin virtuosos, whose sonatas give the violin a soloistic role, in Schobert's sonatas the keyboard role is equal or even dominate. This style had precedent in some of the earlier French composers like Mondonville. Mozart taught Schobert sonatas to his students, and Beethoven continued the pattern of sonatas for keyboard with the accompaniment of the violin.
Dramatically, Schobert, his family, a servant, and his doctor were all found dead in Schobert's house. They had collected mushrooms in the park, and all died of poisoning. Sadly, they persisted in cooking the mushrooms themselves, believing they knew best — after two restaurants had warned them and refused to prepare the mushrooms.

Schoenberg's journey begins with violin lessons as a child, and forays into composing and arranging for violin duet. In his teens, Schoenberg taught himself to play cello, subsequently playing quartets with friends and joining an amateur orchestra. Schoenberg received his only formal composition training from the conductor of this orchestra, Alexander von Zemlinsky.
As a theorist and teacher, Schoenberg was hugely influential. In addition to his atonal methods, Schoenberg taught and wrote exhaustively on the materials and theory of traditional tonal music.
Schoenberg's composition students include Webern, Berg, and Cage.
